Pilot Kindergarten Math
In this course, students will build understanding of the following modules: Numbers to 10, Two-Dimensional and Three-Dimensional Shapes; Comparison of Length, Weight, Capacity, and Numbers to 10; Number Pairs, Addition and Subtraction to 10; Numbers 10–20, Counting to 100, and Understanding Work; and Analyzing, Comparing, and Composing Shapes.
You will find teacher and student materials for each module to guide the instruction and facilitate learning. Each module is broken up into coherent topics that allow students to develop solid conceptual understanding, practice procedural skills and fluency, and apply what they learn in real-world scenarios.
The agency developed these learning resources as a contingency option for school districts during COVID. All resources are optional. Prior to publication, materials go through a rigorous third-party review. Review criteria include TEKS alignment, support for all learners, progress monitoring, implementation supports, and more. Products also are subject to a focus group of Texas Educators.
